Natural Anti Aging - Your Skin and Aging

Aging and Skin Care Tips For Your Age Group...

You want natural anti aging as much as you possibly can, as your skin and aging have different effects at each 'generation' milestone you approach.

As we get older our skin changes and we need to be aware of these changes in order to look after our skin the right way

Aging is slow and progressive.  It's going to happen anyway but we can slow the aging process down.  How?  By looking after ourselves internally and externally.

Here, we're going to go through the aging and skin care process and identify natural anti aging ingredients (in the form of creams) to put on our faces externally.

The 'Twenties' Group

By the time you reach your mid twenties you should be starting to come out of your adolescence skin.  Hopefully those teenage spots, or acne have or are starting to disappear.

From an aging point of view, you should start looking into an anti aging routine now.  Yes, you really should start this young to prevent wrinkles and aging skin occurring in the first place.

At this stage there is no reason to go out buying anti-wrinkle products, all you need to do is a good daily facial routine.  Mainly consisting of cleansing and moisturising morning and night.

The main thing to remember is after a girls night out, make sure you wipe your make-up off, cleanse and moisturise before you go to bed!  There's no harm in starting off with a moisturising cream with Vitamin C included in it.

The 'Thirties' Group

By your mid thirties your skin will start holding less moisture and begin to hydrate more quickly.  Because of this, fine lines and fine wrinkles will start to appear, probably more prominent around the eyes but also noticeable on the brow, in between the eyebrows and folds around the mouth (nasolabial folds).

Keep up the good work with the daily facial routine of cleansing and moisturising, but start including natural anti aging creams with hydrating ingredients such as hyaluonric acid and collagen booster ingredients such as retinol to start smoothing out those wrinkles before they get too deep.

Also, start putting on SPF lotion daily in all weather conditions including the winter.  Even better, get a good moisturising cream with SPF added into the ingredients.

The 'Forties' Group

In your forties your skin and aging will start showing those fine lines and wrinkles getting slightly deeper and perhaps a bit wider too. Your skin is now starting to produce less collagen and the elastin fibres are starting to lose their hold.

This means that your skin is losing its elasticity and consequently is not as taught anymore. You will need to 'up' your anti wrinkle regime and start including ingredients such as copper peptides and matrixyl to try and restore firmness and further boost collagen to plump out those wrinkles.

You might want to consider facial exercises to give you a helping hand.

The 'Fifties' Group

This is the time when you may experience the '50-year-itch'.  This means that your skin becomes itchy due to hormonal imbalances such as the shift in oil production and the thinning of the epidermis layer.

Imbalance of skin cells start to occur and the skin starts to thin and lose it radiance, this is when dark 'age spots' start to get more noticeable.  You can keep up your natural anti aging regime but it won't have any added effect to your skin now.

You also may experience an itch to re-evaluate your wardrobe.  Perhaps you have moved into an executive or leadership position, or maybe it's time to express your inner creative woman.  Discover your inner goddess and get fashion suggestions for women of a certain age at Fashion After 50.

The 'Sixties+' Group

The top layer of our skin continually renews itself every 30 days or so.  However, by the time you reach 60, this process slows down considerably and only renews itself every 50 days.

The result is that the dead skin cells lie on your skin waiting to be sloughed off for a longer period of time making your skin look less radiant and more grey/dull looking.

Your skin thins and loses its elasticity even more and those wrinkles and lines become so much more prominent.  Underneath your cells are unable to renew themselves and the activity of the sebaceous glands (sweat glands) are reduced significantly.

Keep up your aging and skin care routine, get golden 'highlights' in your hair together with a new sophisticated modern cut.  Keep fit and active and stop worrying about those wrinkles, just enjoy life!
